WHERE: Nişantaşı

It's only natural that when you move to another country you also miss some things you left behind. I mean leaving the beach on our doorstep behind is too obvious.
Then it hit us - coffee! Australians have been successfully exporting the "flat white" to all corners over the last few years and despite Turkey having a great Turkish coffee culture (watch out for the last mouthful!) there really isn't many options aside from Starbucks.
Word got back to us to check out Ministry of Coffee in Nişantaşı, run by Australian Sam Cevikoz. AMAZING. Our caffeine fix was sorted right there and then. Best thing is that afterwards you can wander the back streets and lane ways for some of the best boutique shopping in Istanbul... win win I'd say.
p.s. for those in Sydney you can check out the new cafe in Rose Bay.
